What is Small Group Training (SGT)?
SGT is limited to no more than 8 people with 1 Coach. SGT is designed to provide more individualized instruction for each member. Your Coach will customize the workouts based on your fitness level, exercise experience and goals. Programs may include an assessment. They are crafted to help you progress safely toward your fitness goals. You will also learn proper form in order to build strength & endurance and increase mobility and flexibility safely. You can expect to receive more individualized attention while experiencing motivating & inspiring support from your group and coach.
Registration: Registration for Training sessions are limited to Foothills Area YMCA members.

Descriptions:
Functional Strength Training
Functional Fitness is exercise that grows and supports your everyday life. In a small group setting we will work on movements that equate to things we do everyday. While putting a focus on core and form as both are the foundation of proper movement. We will use weights, TRX, body weight, and cardio moves to achieve these goals.
Women on Weights (Beginner/Intermediate)
A full body workout with a combination of super sets and single exercises with a focus on improving strength and understanding the importance of nutrition for achieving goals.
Although the full body will be worked, a muscle group will be the focal point of each workout. We will address special needs and discuss and plan against individual goals.
Boxing Intermediate
Intermediate Boxing is for those who have the foundation of punching and footwork down and ready to explore more. In this small group we will move beyond the basics learning more complex combos, how to throw knees, and how to hold and punch focus mitts with a partner. To join this group you will need to have the basics down by either having taken boxing basics or have boxed previously.
