After School Care
In YMCA After School Care, kids engage in physical, learning and imaginative activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve. In addition to supplementing what they have learned in school, they participate in interactive learning models that engage critical thinking skills, are provided 30 minutes each day to work on their homework by trained YMCA staff, have a chance to socialize with each other and form long-lasting friendships that enhance their development, growth and self-confidence.

With a new school year comes great new changes to our programs. This year we are beginning the implementation of a literacy program as well as the continuation of programs with Ripple of One and Snap-Ed of Clemson University. Because of these great additions, continuations and the hard work of our staff, you will see that our prices have changed from last year. This is in response to the steps we are taking to make our programs the best they can be. We are excited to see what the future holds for our after school care programs and we certainly want you to join us!
If you are registering a child who has a disability or medical needs, please make sure to call or email the Childcare Director to set up a meeting prior to their first day of the program. The purpose of this meeting is to obtain detailed information about the child’s condition and the best way to meet the child’s needs, while including them in program activities.
